What is Organic Air Technology?

This is a commonly asked question and we’re always excited to answer it! We’ll begin by explaining what it means to breathe organic air. When you are breathing organically, you’re breathing in air that has been energized and naturally cleansed itself of pollutants. The process of adding energized elements to the air that actively attach to and break down pollutants is happening constantly outdoors, thanks to the sun and wind.

How much will my electric bill go up?

AirRestore units were designed to be crazy energy efficient! So much so, we doubt you’ll notice any increase on your electrical bill.

Let’s compare: A typical lightbulb consumes about 60 watts. Each AirRestore Air Naturalization unit consumes only 3 watts on its highest setting. So you could leave your AirRestore unit running for 24 hours and it will consume approximately the same amount of energy of powering a 60 watt lightbulb for 1 hour.

The result: You can continually clean your indoor and your electric bill will hardly feel it.

How do I change the filter?

You don’t! There are NO FILTERS to change, buy or upkeep. AirRestore doesn’t use filters because they are so limiting and can release the same pollutants back into the air. AirRestore Organic Air Technology is a PROACTIVE TECHNOLOGY that is completely different than passive filtered systems.

The only maintenance required is a quick and simple cleaning of the units. How often your unit will need to be cleaned varies depending on the level of pollutants it is breaking down. Initially, your unit may need a quick cleaning every few weeks. After the unit has been working awhile and gotten on top of the pollutants, you will likely only need to clean it every few months. However, units in areas with heavier needs, such as those near litter boxes or in damp basements, may require cleaning more often.

A light cleaning of the Air Naturalizer can be helpful and done as needed. This is as simple as swiping between the vents with a cotton swab to remove debris. A full cleaning should be done every few months. More detailed instructions can be found HERE.

What causes indoor air pollution?

How much air can each unit clean?

Organic Air Technology is amazingly effective and each individual unit is designed to restore the air for up to 800 square feet, however, your indoor air should be examined on a room-by-room basis. Where should I put my AirRestore?

The optimal location for your air naturalizer depends on your air-quality goals.

For allergy sufferers, the ideal location would be in your bedroom, considering most people spend 1/3 of their life in there. If your allergies are caused by your pets, you may want to keep the Air Naturalizer where your animals spend most of their time to help control their dander. Odor control is as simple as keeping the AirRestore near the source of the odor: litter pans, kennels, kitchens, bathrooms, garages and garbage cans…the list goes on.

Ideally, give your AirRestore room to breathe. Air circulation helps the air naturalization process and its effectiveness, so oscillating and ceiling fans are fantastic. Humidifiers can also be helpful.
